Welcome to Acorn Lawn Tennis Club.
We are a non-profit club run by enthusiastic volunteers; and affiliated
to the Lawn Tennis
Association and the Middlesex Tennis Association. We have been awarded
the Middlesex volunteer of the year award on two occasions at the Queen's
Club and Wimbledon.
The club strives to be very friendly and welcoming to players of all standards
and ages. We keep our members updated on club news via a WhatsApp group
and regular newsletters.
Coaching is available for beginners
and improvers.
We have 6 all weather astro-turf courts adjoining the historic and
delightful Canons Park!
Full members are welcome to join in our social tennis sessions as well as competitive tennis!
We run three men’s teams and one ladies' team in the Middlesex summer
league. The Men's first team also play in the Middlesex Cup, National
league and a local winter floodlight league.
Additionally, we organise 13 club championships for different age-groups and abilities; a charity handicap doubles tournament and BBQ;
and a festive dinner with entertainment and
presentations.
